Progress With Unity Podcast #128: A chat with Emmerson Boyce

In this constantly shifting modern football environment, to spend nine whole years at one club is an achievement to be celebrated. Emmerson Boyce must have watched over a hundred players arrive and leave in that time, all the while acting as a reliable anchor, the man to manage a thousand squads, Mr Wigan Athletic.

Progress With Unity is humbled to present an hour-long chat with Boycey, covering the the FA Cup, Europa League and what the future holds for Sir Emmerson. Whatever happens in the next month or so, I, for one, have been honoured to watch the great man at the DW (and the JJB) for nigh on a decade.

Cheers, Boycey!

Progress With Unity Podcast #61: Ed Jones Interview Special

It's interview time again! Somehow, the Progress With Unity Podcast has managed to con Wigan Athletic Head of Media Ed Jones into participating in an informal chat about setting cars afire, Peppa Pig and househunting with Svetoslav Todorov. Really.

Progress With Unity Podcast #60: Blackpool review, Rubin Kazan and Charlton previews

Following a less-than-satisfactory day by the seaside, the Progress With Unity Podcast team bemoan their inability to rent a donkey on Blackpool beach before powering through a couple of high profile match previews. Or so the final edit would suggest... if you ever attend one of our recording sessions, you'll know it's a lot more chaotic than that.

Ne'er mind, for Europe beckons once more. To the DW- er, Wigan Athletic Stadium!

Progress With Unity Podcast #58: Maribor and Blackburn reviews

It isn't often Latics win two games in a row, so savour this edition! I only wish they sold such things in jars, though admittedly the debate wouldn't be half as good if you're winning every game. Here's to many more... losses, I suppose.

Progress With Unity Podcast #56: Zulte Waregem, Ipswich and Man City reviews; Watford preview

An extremely busy week for the Progress With Unity Podcast regulars has seen them clock up a combined total of almost four miles. I'm not sure what happened to the other 500 or so, probably still riding around aimlessly on one of those 2 Euro Bruges buses.

Back in the croissant-less U.S. of K, Wigan's equally arduous trip to Robin Park was sweetened by an unexpected 2-0 victory. We shall gloss over the performance, and indeed the glorified friendly at the COMS on Tuesday evening in favour of an in-depth look at this weekend's contest with Watford.

Progress With Unity Podcast #55: Leicester review, Zulte Waregem preview

Ready for blastoff? Good, because Wigan Athletic's mission to Europa begins this week, and the Progress With Unity team --and Belgian correspondent Bart Lagae-- are on hand to discuss how utterly exciting the whole thing is. Also in this edition: a look back at Leicester plus a fleeting mention for the forthcoming Ipswich game.
