The first meeting came in our first season as a Football League club, 9th September 1978; a 2:1 defeat at Plough Lane, the last was a 1:1 draw at Plough Lane, last season.
Dons Back at Plough Lane - 10th Match 1984 was the last time we met at Plough Lane with fans in the ground, it was the 1983/84 season, a League Division 3 fixture saw the Latics grab a share of the spoils in a 2:2 draw in front of 2,565 spectators, Wimbledon going on to gain promotion at the end of the season, finishing 2nd with 87 points.
Stand Out Game - The last away win at Wimbledon came in League 1 in the 2017/18 campaign, Latics winning comfortably at the Cherry Red Records Fans Stadium, by four goals to nil, all the goals coming in the second half, Michael Jacobs opened the scoring, followed by a Nick Powell double and a last minute Ivan Toney effort.
