Any Previous? Latics v MK Dons

MK Dons are the visitors to the DW Stadium on Tuesday, a relatively new fixture with the clubs meeting just six times previously, one of those being an FA Cup replay.

The first meeting was in the FA Cup back in 2014, current holders Latics were held at the DW Stadium by a decent MK Dons side in a pulsating game, we were 2:0 with goals from Roger Espinoza and Jordi Gomez, in a final flurry of first half action defender Ben Reeves scored twice to send the sides in level at half time.

Callum McManaman restored Latics lead after 65 minutes only for Patrick Bamford to bag an 84th minute equaliser and force a replay. The Latics won that replay 1:3, with two goals from Nick Powell and a Marc-Antoine Fortune effort

Classic Match

Latics smashed MK Dons 5:1 in early April 2018 as we chased down the League 1 title, a Will Grigg hat-trick and Nick Powell on target, Ebanks-Landell with an own goal completing the Latics tally. Former Latic, Lee Nicholls in goal for MK Dons that day.

Highlights – Latics 5:1 MK Dons
