Latics are in League Cup action on Tuesday and will face local rivals Bolton Wanderers at the DW Stadium, in charge of the game will be Sheffield based official, Tom Bramall.

Bramall was promoted to the EFL as recently as 2018/19 season, during the preseason build up for the 2019/20 campaign, Tom Bramall suffered a serious ACL injury which kept him sidelined until February 2020.
Last campaign Bramall had two Latics games, both away, our 2:0 opening day defeat to Ipswich and the late February defeat at Peterborough, 2:1 where he awarded the Posh a dubious penalty.
So far this season, Bramall has had four games the latest of which was Tuesday 17 August in the Championship, Peterborough 2:2 Cardiff, awarding 27 free kicks, which heavily favoured the home side (18:9) and issuing 3 yellow cards (1:2)
