Kavanagh, who turns 37 on Sunday, has been refereeing in the professional game since the 2014/15 season and a Select Group 1 ref since the 2017/18 season.

 Previous Games

Chris Kavanagh has taken charge of six Latics’ games so far, all in the Championship bar our FA Cup win over West Ham in January 2018, which is the only one of his games that we have won.

Kavanagh has refereed 247 games – 106 of which have come in the Premier League - in which he has handed out a grand total of 805 yellow and 26 red cards over the 9 seasons that he has been active in league football. Kavanagh has also refereed at International level and various European Club Tournaments including the Champions League.

Just the two domestic league games so far for Chris Kavanagh this season, both in the Championship.
