Edwards is now in his second season as a National List official.
Having served his apprenticeship in the National League, his first season in the ‘Big Time’ saw him issue just the one red card in 25 games, so far this campaign he hasn’t dished out any reds.
This will be Edwards’ first Latics game, he has taken charge of two Accrington fixtures, their 2:1 defeat away at Salford in the Football League Trophy last season and Stanley’s 2:0 League 1 home win over Peterborough back in September.
Currently, Marc is working for a Sunderland based Housing Association group as Head of Asset Management and Investment.
