The last time the two clubs met was on a Tuesday night in April 2018 at Spotland, a large travelling contingent were in for a treat as Rochdale were swept aside, Latics, with goals from Dan Burn, David Vaughan, Michael Jacobs and the obligatory Will Grigg effort, consolidated our place at the top of the table.
