Latics travel the short trip up to the Fylde Coast on Saturday to face Fleetwood in a League 1 affair, making sure the rules of the game are abided by is Derbyshire referee, James Oldham.

The young whistle blower is in his second season officiating in the Football League following promotion from the National League in time for the 2019/20 season, he kicked off his career in the big time with the Carlisle v Crawley League 2 opener, issuing a red and 4 yellows.
Oldham hasn’t been in charge of a Latics game previously, though he has one Fleetwood match under his belt, their League 1 clash away at Rochdale back in October, which they lost 2:1.
