Latics are at the DW Stadium again on Saturday for a League 1 encounter with top of the table Lincoln City, the referee in charge of the game will be Rutland based official, Trevor Kettle.

In his 18th season as a referee, Kettle’s whistle never seems to run out of steam, controversy follows him around and a quick google search under his name will testify to this.
Previously, Trev has officiated three Latics games, two at the DW Stadium, both in the same season, 2017/18 League 1, his first was a goalless draw against Charlton Athletic, the second was our 1:0 win against Oxford United, ironically enough both Charlton and Oxford were managed by Karl Robinson at the time they played us.
The third came this campaign up at the Stadium of Light, on 5th December, when we beat Sunderland 0:1.
This will be Kettle’s first Lincoln game since he was in charge of their League 2, 0:3 home defeat to Colchester United on the final day of the 2018/19 season, they still went up as champions so no one was that bothered.
Kettle served in the Royal Air Force and has worked at NATO, presently he is employed as Sales Director of an engineering company.
Trevor Kettle's last game this campaign was a League 2 affair on Tuesday 16 February at the Peninsula Stadium, Salford City 1:0 Barrow, four players received yellow cards, two from each side.
