Latics entertain Fleetwood Town at the DW Stadium on Saturday in a League 1 fixture, the man charged with keeping everything above board is Nottinghamshire referee, Declan Bourne.

This is Bourne’s first season as a Football League ref, though he was formerly an assistant and has actually run the line at the DW, back in October 2015, Halloween to be exact, he was raising his flag several times as we struggled against a very dogged Swindon side that we eventually managed to beat 1:0.
This will be the first time he has been in charge of either a Latics or Fleetwood game. His last game this campaign was the Sunderland v Port Vale EFL Trophy game on the 12th January, though he was scheduled to take charge of Colchester v Tranmere League 2 fixture last weekend which was unfortunately postponed.
