Joseph's Goal – The Play
By Chloe Foston
11th May 2013 - Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup Final.
A journey to Wembley, fraught with mishap, adventure, determination and ultimately glory.
A charity that has touched the hearts of millions, Joseph’s Goal, sprang onto the national and international stage in May 2013 when Latics captain, Emmerson Boyce, carried the club’s mascot, Joseph Kendrick onto the pitch at Wembley prior to the FA Cup final.
Inspired by the work and aims of the charity, more on this can be found here, Chloe Foston put pen to paper and wrote a play, loosely based on factual events, yes some of this stuff actually happened, filled with Wigan grit, humour and determination, to raise funds for and awareness of Joseph’s Goal and NKH.
