We’re back at it on Saturday as we travel down to South Wales, high flying Swansea City are the opposition in a Championship fixture at the Liberty Stadium, the referee for the game will be Sheffield official, Craig Pawson.

The 43 year old has been refereeing in the professional game since the 2008/09 season, his first Premier League game coming in March 2013.
Pawson is a FIFA official and in the PGMOL Select Group 1, seen predominantly in the Premier League and on the international stage, he is one of, if not the top rated English referee.

Pawson has two Latics’ games under his belt, both coming at the DW Stadium, both in the Championship in the 2013/14 season, he was also the 4th official in our FA Cup semi-final game against Arsenal in April 2014.
During his long career, Craig Pawson has been in charge of 498 games, issuing 1,694 yellow and 76 red cards whilst awarding 117 penalties.
Pawson last refereed Swansea City on the 23rd December 2017 in a
Premier League fixture at the Liberty Stadium, a 1:1 draw with Crystal Palace.
Craig Pawson has taken charge of 15 games so far this season, 7 of which have come in the Premier League and just 1 in the Championship.
