Latics visit the Kassam Stadium to play Oxford United on Saturday in a League 1 fixture, the man in charge of the game is Sheffield referee, James Bell.
James Bell |
Jimmy is in his second season as a referee on the National List, having graduated from the National League where he has had just the one campaign. Previously he worked as an assistant (lino) and ran the line at Championship level.
Bell has one Latics’ game under his belt, our goalless draw at home against Bristol Rovers last season, Curtis Tilt, Alex Perry and Chris Merrie all finding their way into his book.
Oxford have been refereed twice by James Bell, last season in a 3:2 defeat away at Doncaster and in October this season when they suffered a 1:3 home defeat by Plymouth.
Bell’s 21 games this season have come in League One (8), League Two (6), the EFL Trophy (3), EFL Cup (2) and FA Cup (2). His last game was on Wednesday 15 December, FA Cup 2nd round replay which ended Barrow 2:0 Ipswich Town, just the one booking in the game, Sam Morsy.
