The Latics travel down the M6 on Saturday to face Crewe Alex at Gresty Road in a League 1 encounter, the man in charge of the game is County Durham official, Martin Coy.
Coy, who joined the National List of referees in August 2017, has two previous Latics games under his belt, both came in the 2017/18 season, our FA Cup 1st round tie against Crawley, which we won 2:1 and our League 1 encounter away at Bradford, which again we won, this time 0:1 courtesy of a late Michael Jacobs goal.

PWU Latics Podcast - Crewe Preview
This week we have special studio guest Nathan Sinclair, Mark Hayes joins us via the telephone and Stuart from The Railwaymen Podcast previews the Crewe game.
We have a look back at Saturday’s win over Doncaster at the DW, Joey Garner on fire.
EFL Trophy defeat to Port Vale was tempered by a stunning free kick from Tom Pearce.
There’s a bit on the takeover and something quite rightly described by Nathan as ‘bollocks’, well said that man.
Crewe preview, fans back in grounds, Latics tunes and a little bit more to finish with.
Thanks for your support.
