Latics travel to Ewood Park on Monday for a Championship fixture against Blackburn Rovers in what will be Shaun Maloney’s first game as Wigan Athletic manager, the referee for the match is Manchester official, Matt Donohue.

The former Denton PE Teacher was appointed to the National List of EFL referees at the start of the 2018/19 season and subsequently to the Select Group 2 of Ref’s the following summer, obviously a high flyer.
In his EFL career, Matt Donohue has taken charge of 152 games,
issued 528 yellow and 29 red cards, pointing to the penalty spot on 28
occasions.
Previous Games
Donohue has taken charge of seven Latics’ games previously, three of which have come this season, Norwich away and Watford at home in the Championship plus the FA Cup 3rd round replay against Luton a couple of weeks back.
Donohue last refereed Blackburn back in August, their 0:1 away win at Blackpool.
So far this season Matt Donohue has refereed 21 games, of which 16 have come in the Championship.
