Latics and Luton have met twice previously in the FA Cup.
The first meeting came in December 2002, a 2nd round tie played at the then named JJB Stadium. Two Nathan Ellington goals and a sweet volley from substitute Michael Flynn saw the Latics through 3:0.
A young Emmerson Boyce played in the Luton side that day.

Unused Subs: Beasant, Brannan
Goals: Ellington (37 & 64), Flynn (86)
Ref: Howard Webb
Att: 4,544
Last Time Out
The last meeting was of course the 3rd round tie at Luton earlier this month, the game ended 1:1 but the Latics were desperately unlucky not to come away with the win having what looked a perfectly good goal disallowed in the final minute of the game.

Luton FA Cup Form
The Hatters have been passed the 3rd round on just one occasion in the last ten seasons, though their FA Cup pedigree isn’t too bad, finalists back in 1959, losing to Nottingham Forest 2:1, Elton John’s uncle, Ron Dwight famously breaking his leg in that game, they also have three semi-finals under their belt, 1985, losing to Everton, 2:1. 1988, losing to Wimbledon, again 2:1 and in 1993, this time losing 2:0 to Chelsea.
