Latics are back in action on Tuesday,
it is derby day at the Brick Community Stadium, Bolton Wanderers are in town for a League One fixture, scheduled to be
the referee for the game is London official, Farai Hallam.
Hallam is in his first full season on the National List, he is based at Wembley Stadium and works full time for the FA Centre of Refereeing Excellence. He was also in the professional game for a short period, part of Stevenage FC academy but he was released in 2012.
This may be his first season, but Hallam is certainly making his mark having clocked up nine Championship games so far this campaign.
Previous Games
Hallam has officiated just the one Latics game previously, away at Blackpool on October the 28th, and that was just his second game at League One level underlining his rapid rise to prominence since.
Dion Rankine, Ty Francois and Silko Thomas ended up in the book on that evening.
