Latics are in action again at the DW Stadium on Friday when Bristol City are the visitors. Taking charge of his ninth Wigan Athletic game will be West Midlands based official Oliver Langford.
Langford’s first Latics game was back in December 2014 when Norwich visited the
DW Stadium, we lost that game 1-0.
Last season he took charge of our home game against Bury which we won 4-1.
Little
Oliver, has been on the National List of referees since the 2008/09 season, he
was fourth official when we met Bournemouth in an FA cup 3rd round replay down
at Dean Court in January 2013 – erm wasn’t that the year we went on to win the
damn thing – always nice to get an opportunity to mention our FA cup win especially
on cup day.
Of his 6
games so far this campaign four have been in the Championship, including
Bristol City’s 0-2 home defeat against Middlesbrough back in August.

Red cards, one defeat, one win, goals and stand out performances, it's all here on this weeks podcast.
We start with a look back at Brentford, discuss the Morsy red card incident before moving on to the home win over Hull, was it just by the one goal, we should have burried them.
We have details of our latest competition which has a cracking prize courtesy of our friends at Red Brick Design, give them a follow on twitter.
We have the Bristol City preview with Robins fan Matt Beecham, #ticspredicts and game odds.
There is the Latics XI left back to consider and we celebrate the 5th anniversary of our first ever game in European competition, 19th Sept 2013 against SV Zulte Waregem in Brugges.
