From 1990 to 1994 Ed Jones was the bass player and vocalist with Wigan Indie band The Tansads, they enjoyed success on gig all other the north of England and had minor chart success with their album and single releases, I asked Ed to choose a Tansads song for us to finish off the podcast with, without hesitation he said - Up The Revolution

An extremely busy week for the Progress With Unity Podcast regulars has seen them clock up a combined total of almost four miles. I'm not sure what happened to the other 500 or so, probably still riding around aimlessly on one of those 2 Euro Bruges buses.

Back in the croissant-less U.S. of K, Wigan's equally arduous trip to Robin Park was sweetened by an unexpected 2-0 victory. We shall gloss over the performance, and indeed the glorified friendly at the COMS on Tuesday evening in favour of an in-depth look at this weekend's contest with Watford.

First on the agenda is the Community Shield, despite the result it was a great day out, some good performances and a bit of excitement in the crowd

The crew also discuss new signing James McClean on his debut, he gets a very positive appraisal

Next up is Kevin Du Bruyne, well not just him but the recent speculation starts a discussion about squad bolstering before the transfer window shuts

There is a preview of Saturdays clash at Dean Court against Bournemouth, the crew are optimistic of a good result despite commenting on just how good Eddie Howes team is

There is also a quick preview of our first home league game of the season when Doncaster Rovers visit the DW Stadium on Tuesday night

First up for the crew this week is the fantastic performance and result at Reading, Gareth is still on a high following his visit to the Madejski and he tells us how well he was looked after by the staff at Reading (16:40)...There is discussion around the latest odds for relegation and who is likely to be scrapping for survival come May (18:20)...The Liverpool game is previewed (28:30) .. the lads are in confident mood and there is an attempt to aquire a supply of pies from Standish Pies, by continually mentioning Standish Pies!
