Latics travel down to face Bristol City at Ashton Gate on Wednesday, 29 meetings so far between the two clubs, the Robins having the better of things with 13 wins to our 6.

 

The first time we met Bristol City was early in the 1984/85 season, a Division 3 fixture at Ashton Gate, we suffered a 2:0 defeat in front 7,840 spectators.

The return fixture that season came at Springfield Park on 23 April ’85 and ended a little more palatable, 2:2 with Gary Bennett and Steve Walsh scoring the goals in front of 2,423 fans.
