PWU POTS Award 2023/24

The 2023/24 PWU Podcast Player of the Season voting is now open and will be conducted via a specifically created email address pwupots@gmail.com

So who is your choice as Wigan Athletic player of the season?

The development of our academy graduates has been very exciting, thrown in at the deep end due to the circumstances surrounding the club, they have certainly responded and done themselves proud. Tickle, Adeeko, Hughes, Aasgaard have not only been virtual ever presents but also been rewarded with international recognition as well. Scott Smith received more Man of the Match awards than any other player, what a season Scotty is having.

There have been some great performances from the older, more experienced lads too. Jordan Jones’ form has been exceptional, Jason Kerr returned following his lengthy injury layoff and the elder statesman, Callum McManaman, led by example every time he has taken to the pitch

Matt Smith, Jonny Smith, Steven Sessegnon and Sean Clare arrived on permanent deals during the summer and settled in really well, loan signings Martial Godo and Luke Chambers have both really excited the Latics fans with their performances.

Our man of the match polls throughout the season have had 19 different winners, below is a list of the players who have picked up that particular accolade.
