Latics visit Home Park on Saturday in a ‘top of the table’ League 1 fixture, the man in charge of the game is Northamptonshire referee, Andy Woolmer.

The 55 year old has been a Football League referee since 2004, his first game being the League 2 goalless draw between Kidderminster Harriers and Notts County on the 10th August that year.
Woolmer is now a veteran of 587 games in which he has handed out a grand total of 1,677 yellow and, surprisingly, just 65 red cards over the 18 seasons that he has been active in league football.
The first of the eleven Latics’ games that he's been in charge of came on the 29th April 2014 away at Birmingham in the Championship and his last was a goalless draw with Barnsley at the DW on August Bank Holiday weekend 2019, also in the Championship.
Andy Woolmer has taken charge of one Plymouth game so far this season, their 2:2 draw away at Lincoln City at the beginning of October.
Incurring the wrath of Argyle boss, Ryan Lowe, Woolmer awarded Lincoln a 90th minute penalty when it was clear that any offence had occurred outside the box, the spot kick was duly dispatched and 3 points became just one with Lowe commenting that Woolmer owed him an apology.
Lowe said - "I told him it was wrong, it wasn't the right decision.
"If he apologises it's not going to get the two points back but at least I know then, man to man, he has gone 'You know what Ryan, I hold my hand up, it was wrong'. That's what I want to hear and it will make me sleep better!"
