Any Previous? Fleetwood Town v Latics

The Latics and Fleetwood may have had a fair few battles down the years in non-league football, but as Football League clubs the two sides have only met on seven occasions.

The first of those eight came at the DW Stadium in September 2015, a crowd of 8,300 witnessed a Latics 2:1 victory with goals from Jordan Flores and Michael Jacobs, in the Fleetwood team that day was Jamie Proctor who of course featured for the Latics in our battle against adversity last season, sat on the bench for us that day was 19 year old defender Jack Hendry who had just been brought in from Partick Thistle, earlier this season Hendry was sold to Club Brugge for €10m.

We are undefeated in the league against The Cod Army, four wins and two draws in League 1, the only defeat coming in the EFL Cup last season away at Highbury Stadium, the Latics giving up a two goal lead in that particular game to lose 3:2.

Stand Out Game - Fleetwood Town 0:4 Latics

21st April, 2018, Latics confirming promotion to the Championship with a resounding victory away at Fleetwood, two goals in each half, Max Power and Gavin Massey in the 1st half, with Dan Burn and Chey Dunkley tying things up after half time.
