Latics travel to Griffin Park on Saturday,
this could possibly be the final time we make the trip for a league game, the
Bees are planning to move into their brand new Brentford Community Stadium in
the not too distant future.
Coming off the
back of the recent international break it will be interesting to see which if
any of the two early season form sides have been affected by the disruption.
Brentford
sit just one point above the Latics and have been earning plaudits with their
style of play this campaign, they thumped Rotherham 5-1 on the opening day of
the season and do set up in an open style similar to the Latics.
The match
promises to be an end to end affair which could go either way, there are sure
to be goals as Brentford supporters worry about their sides inability to shut
teams out having kept just one clean sheet this season, we Latics fans know how
that feels, but it does had to the excitement and entertainment levels.
Sitting just
one point off a playoff spot and four points behind Championship leaders Leeds,
the coming week - with three games in six days - gives the Latics the chance to
stamp their presence on this league, a positive result at Griffin Park will be
a great step towards that, plus with 1,000 travelling fans it will give the
supporters something to shout about too.
